السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاتهGirls,

Yesterday I received my goodies I ordered from Www.blackdiiamonds.com the delivery was super fast considering the fact that it came all the way from Holland.

I ordered a sweater OBVIOUSLY aha I'm literally obsessed with sweater weather. The sweater is red with white particles effect, it's THE BEST! it's oversized which is perfect, it is shorter from the front and longer from the back!

The thing I love about this sweater is that it's so confortable and it looks so festive and I don't know about you guys but even though I'm a muslim, I still get excited about the Christmas/Winter Season.

I also bought a plain black pashmina which is perfect for everyday use.

The sweater cost €15.99
The scarf cost €3.99
Postage cost varies but you can check on their website.

Here is today's outfit :

Best Foundation Review!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Girls,

Today I will be doing a 3 IN 1 Revlon Foundation Review. I will be reviewing the Revelon Colourstay, Photoready & Nearly Naked foundations, so this will be a long post, go and grab yourself a cup of tea & a snack.

Sit back, relax & enjoy.

Starting with the Revlon Colourstay Foundation. Let's take a look at the product description:

"Longwearing coverage with a lightweight formula that won’t cake, fade, or rub off. With Time Release Technology specifically formulated for combination or oily skin to control oil absorption and shine. Your look stays flawless throughout the day.

Results
• Makeup feels comfortable and wears up to 24 hours.
• Medium to full coverage.
• Comes in 20 beautiful shades."

Now we know what the company says it should do, what do we think?

I bought this foundation a while ago, during the summer if I remember right. The reason I got it was because of the beautiful '24hr' stamp on the lid. We all love a long lasting foundation don't we? After trying the foundation, I didn't really fall in love with it so I went ahead and bought myself another of the Revlon foundations. Last couple of weeks I decided to try it again and OMG it's perfect! I literally love it! It's probably because my skin has improved so much since I bought it that now the foundation looks flawless on me.

Packaging
The packaging is nothing special just a regular foundation bottle. It sucks that it has no pump! Would of saved me so much more product if it did.

Consistency and Coverage
When I use foundations I always ask the same questions, does it leave any dry patches or does it have a nice consistency? It's got an AMAZING consistency and feels & looks perfect on my skin. This foundation is for combination to oily skin which is perfect for me. It's not very runny but it's not very rigid either. It's coverage is medium to full just like Revlon said. It is buildible but honestly covers a lot with one layer. Perfect for a natural look.

When I started using this foundation last couple of weeks I kept in mind everything I look for in a foundation, does it need a powder to set so that my face doesn't end up as a grease ball? The answer is no, WHAT! That's just fabulous, it sucks up oils all by itself even without a primer.

Application
To apply this foundation I have been using my Real Techniques Essential Foundation Brush which gives an amazing finish with no harsh lines.

Price
For a drugstore foundation it is on the pricey side but still very affordable. I got it for £12.49 from boots.

My shade is in 'Caramel'. It's funny because I love CARAMEL!

      Revlon Colourstay - Boots £12.49

The best part about this foundation is that it gives great coverage & helps control oils. It also doesn't get onto precious clothing or people you greet.

Pros

•Medium to full coverage
•Great shine control
•20 different shades to choose from
•Long lasting
•Does not cake or rub off

Cons

• no pump = product wasted
• packaging not great

As you can see the pros outweigh the cons. I absolutely love this foundation and would definitely buy it again.

Now let's take. Look at the Revlon Photoready foundation which I bought whilst shopping in Central london. The reason I bought it was because some of my favourite youtubers were using it, so I thought i would give it a try.

The company says :

"Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup - for poreless, airbrushed skin in any light. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Complete, yet undetectable coverage. Soft, luminous finish.

- Oil free
- Fragrance free
- SPF 20 "

Let's find out if this actually lives up to its expectations.

When I first tried the Revlon Photoready, I was disappointed to find out it contained glitter/shimmer, that's one thing I don't like about it but I gave it a try anyways.

Packaging
The packaging is nothing special but the good thing is that it has a pump.

Consistency & Coverage
It's consistency is very smooth not too watery. It has a pump so it is easy to control how much you use each time. It doesn't leave any dry patches and feels smooth on the skin. It's coverage is from light to medium but also buildible.

This foundation is oil free just like Revlon said, so no setting powder is required.

Application
I use my hands to apply this foundation i dot it all over my face then use a beauty sponge to blend it all onto my skin.

Price
The price for a drugstore foundation this one is sort of pricey but still affordable, from boots or superdrug for £12.99

My shade for this foundation is also 'Caramel'.

       Revlon Photoready - Boots £12.99

Pros

•Buildible coverage
•SPF 20
•Pump

Cons

•Contains glitter/shimmer
•Packaging
•Price

Overall, I probably wouldn't buy this foundation again. The only the reason I would use this foundation would be for perfect pictures for a photoshoot and to finish what I paid for.

Now we are going to look at the newest of the foundations by Revlon which is the Nearly Naked foundation. The company says :

"Makeup so refreshingly light, it melts right in, creating a fresh even look. So the only one that knows you are wearing makeup is you. Blends seamlessly, buildable coverage.

Revlon’s breakthrough nearly naked makeup balances skin and makeup so they work in perfect harmony. With buildable coverage and seamless blending, you are sure to cover flaws and perfect your skin’s tone and texture. No heavy cakey or greasy mess.

Available in 16 true to tone shades."

I bought this foundation recently because of the tag 'NEW', can you tell I get easily sold and spend money even without reading reviews. I really need a foundation that would give me a fresh look without caking, this was it. I tried it and loved it but there are a few things I don't like about it.

Packaging
The packaging again is nothing special but has a white lid which I kind of like because I love WHITE lol. First thing I don't like is that it has no pump which is a WASTE.

Consistency and Coverage
The second thing I don't like is the consistency, it feels really wierd since it's very liquidy. It's coverage is ok not great, I would say it has light to medium coverage but it is buildible.

Application
At first I used my Real techniques essential foundation brush which gave me a crap finish. It didn't feel or even look good at all. Then I started to just dab it all over my face with my fingers and blend it out, the results were so much better. That's when I fell in love with it, thank you fingers aha.

Price
The price for this foundation is reasonable and affordable, £8.99 from Boots and Superdrug.

You probably guessed again my shade is in 'Caramel'.

Revlon Nearly Naked - Boots £8.99

Pros

•SPF 20
•Price
•Fresh Natural Look

Cons

•Packaging
•Consistency

Overall, I am in a hate and love relationship with this foundation but it's great for its price I guess.

Now for the comparison :

Packaging
Revlon Photoready has the best packaging because it has a pump which saves product and is more useful.

Consistency and Coverage

Revlon Colourstay has the best consistency and give amazing coverage of medium to full.

Application

Revlon Colourstay will give a flawless finish with a brush/sponge or even your fingers.

Price

Revlon Colourstay has the best price for its value.

As you can see the Revlon Colourstay foundation is the best for coverage, application and great value for its price. This is my go to foundation.

Have you tried any of these, if so which one is your favourite?

I hope this was useful.

Thanks for stopping by.

Surprise Interview With Lifelongpercussion

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته girls,

If you follow me on my Instagram ( @hijabfairy3) you would know that I had a  massive surprise for you guys.

This is my first surprise interview post! I will be interviewing muslim girls who inspire many via Instagram, blogger sphere and also on YouTube.

Today I had the privilege and honour to interview the one and only Habiba Da Silva aka Lifelongpercussion. She's a very inspiring blogger who started out on Instagram & then started blogging. Her blog is famous for many different things such as Makeup, skin, poetry, Outfit inspirations and a lot of reviews.

Enjoy!!!!

1.      What is your name & how old are you?

My name is Habiba Da Silva – also known as Life-Long Percussion and I’m 19 years old

2.      Tell us a little about your blog.

My blog is a melting pot of all kinds of posts ranging from fashion to reviews to makeup looks to poetry and skincare. I also wish to start writing inspirational posts on social topics such as confidence.

3.      What was it that made you start blogging ( from the moment you were just Habiba & the moment you became Habiba the blogger)?

I’ve wanted to start blogging since starting uni around October of last year. One of our modules had us writing blogposts – I thought I had loads of different ideas in my mind I’d be able to translate through it and also it would keep me constantly writing which would help with my course.

4.      What are your aims and dreams, career wise?

I am studying English & Creative Writing at the moment – I’m not completely 100% what I want to do in the future career-wise but it definitely has to be related to art/writing/makeup. I take life as it comes..

5.      Any future plans for your blog?

I would like a complete re-design and I’m currently looking for someone who’d be able to do that so if you are good at blog designing hit me up!

6.      I've noticed a lot of your readers and Instagram followers (including myself) have been pondering on you to start a YouTube channel, will it happen?

Youtube is not for me at this time in life, maybe in the future my mind will change on this matter but at the moment I much prefer just blogging.

7.      What is one beauty product you couldn't live without?

Hard question! Maybe foundation because I’m obsessed with a perfect base.

10.  What advice would you give to new upcoming bloggers?

I get a lot of newbies emailing me for advice and I always say the same thing. Keep doing what you do and be original! People like that; originality and passion. You will not succeed in anything unless you give 100%.

11. How has blogging changed your life?

My voice has been amplified. I feel like I can help people, inspire people and again be inspired and learnt things myself. It’s a lovely process and helps you grow as a person and learn so much.

12.What are the pros & cons for having a blog?

Pros would be that you’re able to vent somewhere somehow, I’m able to teach people and learnt myself. Cons? I don’t think there are any cons... sometimes I get a lot of ideas on my mind but get distracted and end up forgetting but I don’t think that would count as a con.

13. If you were only allowed to read ONE blog, which blog would it be and why?

Erm... I like Caroline Hirons’ blog – I follow many of her skincare tips which have really helped me. I also love her writing style.

14. How did you come up with the name 'Life-Long Percussion' ?

‘life-long’ means something that lasts a lifetime and ‘percussion’ is a musical beat. It is a metaphor for many aspects in life that enter and never leave. I’m a poet and deal with a lot of metaphors this is just one I came up with and it stuck J

15.What came first the chicken or the egg?

 The chicken ;)

Any last words?

I just want to thank my followers and readers: everyone who supports me for their on-going love and belief in me. It really means a lot to me and I’m genuinely very honoured to inspire so many people.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to interview you. It's been a pleasure.

Skin Care Routine : Removing Makeup!

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Girls,

Today I'm going to be showing you what I use to remove ALL traces of Makeup! I know a lot of people just stick to using one product but I believe one product could not remove every trace of makeup. I'll talk you through my ROUTINE! This is not a REVIEW.

History:
I used to use simple makeup removing wipes which didn't completely satisfy me.

NOW ....
I use 4 products which are:

Nivea 2 IN 1 Cleanser & Toner
    St.Ives Daily Microdermebrasion
          Garnier Fairness Face Wash
            Simple Foaming Cleanser

The first thing I do is wet my face, I then use the Simple Foaming Cleanser, which has a pump so I use two pumps. This foaming cleanser removes my makeup slightly making it easier for the next product to remove more.

The second product i use is the St.Ives Daily microdermabrasion. I'm not sure if you got as excited as I did when I heard the word 'microdermabrasion' It contains little tiny particles which exfoliate the skin.

I then pick up my Garnier Fairness Face Wash. This product leaves my skin feeling so soft and amazing! It contains Lemons, which brightens my skin. By this time my makeup has been FULLY REMOVED.

The finally product I use is the Nivea 2 IN 1 Cleanser & Toner. As I mentioned earlier my Makeup has been fully removed but I use this product to TONE and MOISTURISE my skin leaving it feeling super soft, clean and brighter than ever.

This is my Makeup Removing Routine.
If you would like me to review any of the products do let me know by commenting.

Thanks for stopping by.

Lorèal Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation REVIEW!!!

Hi girls,

Today I will be doing my first foundation review. I will be reviewing the new Lorèal Nude Magique Eau De Teint foundation.

Firstly, let's take a look at its description;

"PRODUCT BENEFITS
Who says foundation has to feel heavy? That was then, this is now. Unveiling new Nude Magique Eau De Teint Foundation.

Shake it and discover on your fingertips a texture lighter than water. Glide on for amazing coverage. As light as a feather. Perfectly invisible, invisibly perfect. Our ideal nude.

INNOVATION
Our 1st lighter than water foundation with an evanescent texture that glides onto the skin.
No make-up feel.
Apply it just like a perfume! Shake, tip on finger and apply."

And the information on the packaging;

" results should be :
• natural even shine free look
•undetectable coverage
•silky soft touch
•No makeup feel"

Now we know what Lorèal has to say but what do you and I have to say, does this foundation live up to its expectations? Let's find out!

I decided to buy this product purely because of the packaging and of course the 'NEW introductory price' tag was definitely one of the factors (oops). You can call me a 'foundation hoarder' if you like because for someone who doesn't wear foundation much, I do buy a lot.
The packaging is just the CUTEST thing ever. It's so tiny and delicate and would definitely look good in my collection so yeah why not.

Now the problem was would I like it?

First time I tried it I was in SHOCK! You can't imagine unless you have tried it too. It felt SOOOO super light, literally like feather just like they said it would.

The first thing I always look to check about a foundation is, does it leave any dry patches or does it have a nice consistency and how well is it's coverage? This foundations consistency isn't great it's very runny (which is kind of annoying) but that's how it was meant to be, so I can't really complain about that. Its coverage is light coverage but it is buildible! So that's good. But in all honesty I do prefer a light/medium coverage but for the price and consistency it's great.

I have oily to combination skin but varies depending on weather/season. To experiment and test out this foundation I didn't use any primer and it's shine control was ok, not great but ok. After a few hours it didn't control it as much so I started using my BEST OIL SUCKING primer (I call it that purely because even with any oil/cream whatever I moisturise with the primer sucks up everything and stays put ALL DAY! (Lorèal studio secrets professional primer). For best results use a primer.

APPLICATION: I haven't tried using a brush/sponge since the product starts off at the tip of my finger, I just use my fingers to apply it all over my face and just blend it out nice and evenly.

The foundation is very affordable, I got it at boots for £6.99 from the 30/10/2013 it will be £9.99, there's a couple of days left so why not pick it up and try it for yourself.

My shade is in 'Golden sand'.

The best part about this foundation is the 'no makeup feel'. I don't know what's better makeup or the idea of wearing makeup and the feeling of no makeup. I think that's pretty awesome.

Pros

• Super feather light
• no makeup feel
• silky soft touch
• cute packaging

Cons

• not much shine control
• very runny
• light coverage

That's the end to the review, now ask yourself these questions;

1. Do I want a foundation with light coverage?
2. Do I have oily skin and need something to control shine?
3. Can I handle a £6.99 runny product is it worth the small investment ?

Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts. Leave me with a comment and a link to your blog!

Thanks for stopping by.
